I love engaging with people. As a wife, parent, daughter, musician, and speech pathologist, my background is diverse. I have had the priviledge of working in schools, inpatient hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home health, and outpatient pediatrics (usually an adult area and a pediatric area simultaneously). These experiences have allowed me to interact with people in ways I never could have imagined, fulfilling a life-long dream to help others with their communication.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

My Philosophy:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The world is constantly changing. From the clothes we wear to the music we listen to, to our moods and attitudes on any given day.  There is no single way <\/em>of doing things suits all individuals nor all occasions.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our life pace is also shifting. We sometimes have to hurry and move fast, while other times, we take our time and enjoy the scenery. \u00a0It can be difficult to match the pace of others: we want to slow down, and they are in a rush; or we\u2019re wanting to move things along, only to see that our partner is not keeping pace with us. We learn to adapt and adjust to accommodate to our world and those around us.\u00a0 That is exactly how we all communicate in the real-world \u2013 we adjust to maximize our success!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I work to facilitate integration of skills in a practical and meaningful way by developing functional speech, language, and communication through real-life experiences.\u00a0 The outcome being to help an individual reach their personal best through successful, clear, collaborative, and effective communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Experience:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As a speech pathologist with 27 years of professional practice, I have found that working in natural environments is most productive for success.\u00a0 I love working with my clients in the environments where they feel the most comfortable.\u00a0 It might be at home, in the community, at the nanny\u2019s house, at daycare, or even at preschool.\u00a0 I have spent my career developing specific skillsets so that now, I am able to work with clients across the ages.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
